  • Price Match guarantee not honored

    I was in the market for a power conditioner and found one at for $189. Found the same exact one (not a return, B-stock, or refurb) for 106 but temporarily out of stock. Contacted GC regarding the price match guarantee on their website. They responded stating that they wouldn't match the price since it was out of stock at MF, even though this is NOT mentioned on their website.   • A year later and having issues again!

    My last years issue was resovled by the manager of the Springfield Missouri Location. He was extremely cooperative. This time I called Le Mesa CA store talked to someone in guitars about a Martin DC-16RGTE used guitar listed at $600. I asked what it looked like, how it played and any structure issues and if the electronics worked. I figured it would have been rough at that price.   • Returned my Spark Microphone for a refund

    I had purchased the 24 month warranty on my Blue Spark microphone and One recording session It just failed to work so I sent the microphone back for my refund was given confirmation threw ups tracking the microphone had been delivered also was told I would receive a full refund on a guitar center card for the exact price and taxes of what I spent and have yet to receive the card in the mail.   • Insulted And Treated With Disrespect

    I'll try to make a long story short. I had been looking around for my first electric guitar and went to several places, including Guitar Center. During one visit, I spent probably 20-25 minutes with a particular sales person, trying out several electric guitars but not finding one that felt comfortable or was within my budget.     Have dealt with them over many years. Not a single item in all that time, was I not able to readily buy at a lower price, asking any music equipment resource outlet. Some things are monopolized, but most things they sell (very limited equipment selection) You can get lower prices on from ANY independant dealer.   • GC Pro Coverage is costing me gigs due to OUTLANDISH turnaround time.

    First of all, this review is not about GC employees at my local Florence, Ky store, they are awesome, especially Ron in Pro Audio. He consistently bends over backwards to help me and has given me TONS of free GREAT advice. My issue is with Pro Coverage. I purchased two Mackie Thump TH15a powered speakers to dj weddings with. In barely a year (and keeping a CLOSE eye on the overload lights) one speaker failed, then the other. When I purchased the Pro Coverage plan, I was promised a 7 to 10 day turnaround.   • lost my order but still have my money

    On February 14, 2012 I placed an order for a Taylor 2012 110 Dreadnought. The website stated it would be available February 20. I thought, I can wait a week, because I got a great deal with the discounts for that week. So after receiving no information, I called on February 21 to check on my order.     On Saturday, February 04, 2012 at the Louisville, KY Guitar Center (GC) I went to purchase the Mitchell MD 100S12 guitar that I found on their website. I have been looking at purchasing this guitar for some time now and what sent me over the edge so-to-speak is the advertisement on their website (February 03 & February 04) for 12% off of a single item $149 or more.   • Unfinished repair/horrible service

    Awful experience! Never going back. Needed 1 saddle for my guitar. They would only sell me a set of 6 for $60. They told me a novice could probably install new saddles in an afternoon, but I was feeling lazy, so I had them do it. They charged $20 for that and said it'd take 2 days.     I will never ever shop at a Guitar Center ever again. The people at the one in Rancho Cucamonga, CA have no idea whatsoever about even tuning a guitar. I got an APX700II 12 string guitar that had to be ordered. It got back-ordered so I waited, which is fine. It came in today, after a month so I went to pick it up. The man talked for 15 minutes about how much he hates 12-strings and then took about a half hour to tune my guitar wrong.     This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. I had gone to the guitar center at the harrisburg ,pa store i thought i knew what i was doing i was told this is the best pre amp to get well i took it home and it made all my amps buzz i had traded a mixer in on it which they gave me only 70 dollars for and i bought it new for 238 figure that out well the very next day i took it back and asked if i could get back my mixer well they said i could but had to pay retail price for it so they gave me 70 for it and to get it back i had to pay 119 even though i went there all the time and spent thousands of dollars there they just lost a customer...   • Dont buy pro grear warranty

    Bought the "replacement warranty". My amp went belly up, took it to Guitar center in west little rock, and was informed that i had to send it to the manufacture. If thats the "replacement" then I could have sent the amp to the manufacture myself and save the money on the REPLACEMENT provision that guitar center prides themselves in selling. I thought buying the replacement insurance meant that they replace bad products, it does not.     So much for your Guitar Center's customer appreciation. It is time for me to buy from another music retailer.     I bought a program and a Key board MIDI from the store in Kendall. Before I asked the attendant if the product that I bought was good for what I need. He looked at me like saying “Where you come from?” and replayed that he didn’t know how work every thing in the store, because he usually serve people that know what they by.     This is my letter to guitarcenter and its pro coverage To Whom it may concern, I have been calling ever since mid August. And well for lack of a better word I have been dicked around ever since I first informed this so called " Pro Coverage" about my issue.   • Pro Coverage

    I purchased the replacement Pro Coverage on an acoustic guitar and was told that the guitar would be replaced even if it was accidentally broken. After reviewing the coverage brochure it was clear that this was not the case. I also spoke with the customer service rep at the Pro Coverage office and she confirmed that his indeed was he case. I believe that this is a deceptive practice of representing the pro coverage warranty. I will be returning the warranty for a full refund. The guitar center store is in Tallahassee Florida.     I just returned from yet another trip to Guitar center in Phoenix with my blood boiling. Something is missing...CUSTOMER SERVICE!! The first time I was there to buy an amplifier. I sat & played on the one I wanted for 45 minutes without one salesman asking me if needed help. I finally left the store with my $700.00 still in pocket.
