I'm having the same problem. I first got my GC card back when I was 18. I was approved with a $700 limit. That same day I made a $700 purchase on it. I made my payments on time and payed it off.
Now, almost 5 years later, I can't seem to get them to increase my limit. I have EXCELLENT credit, all of my credit cards and credit accounts are payed off except for 1, which I keep about 70% paid on purpose. I make $38,000/yr, so my debt to income ratio is phenomenal.
I don't have a car payment, mortgage payment, ect. All of my other credit cars have automatically increased the limit 3 or 4 times, but GC still thinks I'm not worthy.
